Miracles Through Faith, Prayer Cloths, and Prayer
Hello, I’m Shenoa Gibson.  I want to share with you something that has changed my life and my view of what seemed to be a small task that God used in a way that has dropped my jaws and ignited my faith in Him immensely. I must abbreviate the story, or it will be a whole book. So, here is my condensed version.
Before I begin sharing my testimony, I want to share in whom I believe and a bit about salvation.
In Christianity, Salvation is an important part of those who believe in Jesus Christ and live their lives for the Lord. Why do we need to be “saved” you asked? From the beginning of time, when Adam and Eve, the first people God made, committed sin, life changed, and disobedience entered the world. God knew he had to cover our sins. God sent his son Jesus to pay the ultimate price of sin for us so we can have a chance have eternal life. John 3:16 in the Bible says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. Jesus had to die so we can live.
The Bible says, Romans 5:12 “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin, and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.  You may hear people say that being good, serving others, showing love, etc. is enough to go to Heaven. I want to make it clear, there is nothing you can do that will be enough to cover your own sins. Jesus cleans us from our sins when he shed his blood on the cross for us, we become redeemed.  He paid the price for us.  We need a Savior. We need salvation. We need Jesus!

Salvation- What does it mean to be saved? The definition of salvation, according to Merriam- Webster.com is the “: act of saving someone from sin or evil”. Being saved refers to accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior.  This is a personal journey. Jesus died so your sins would be covered totally.

This sounds simple, doesn’t it? Well, it is. Most often, people think about all the things they may have to give up, stop, turn away from, leave behind, etc. Approach salvation with simplicity and sincerity. Jesus wants to save you. Accept him as your Savior today. Jesus loves you so much that He died for your sins. Isn’t that worth submitting to him? Would you die for someone? Think about it. You may say, yes, if it is my child or my parent. Most often the answer is no! We will negotiate for both lives to be saved. God gave his only Son to die for us. That is love! God has given us a chance to live although sin has given us a sentence of death. Jesus was a perfect sacrifice for us. Jesus gave his life; it was not taken!

Now that I have shared with you Jesus, let me share with you my testimony.
I was sick with Covid 19 back in February 2021. I had to get the monoclonal treatment.  I must admit I was scared because there wasn’t much information regarding the deadly virus nor the treatment.  I heard about it on the news and it was call the “antibody cocktail” and that was all I had a reference. I had to trust God. I prayed that God would be with me and calm my nerves. I went to the Convention center for the treatment the day after diagnosis. As I received my treatment, I was really nervous, and a young woman sat next to me and started to talk to me. She was so kind. The duration of the treatment was 1 hour, and she sat with me for 30minutes or more as if I was the only one in this full building. She assured me that all would be well. She made me smile and feel so warm and comforted. A woman came in and gave me coffee, a smile, and was such a beautiful soul she just made me feel so comforted! I called my mom who told me that she was praying for me and that she asked God to send an Angel to watch over me.  Well…here is the amazing news! The young lady that sat with me…she was sent by God! Her name was written across her face shield…yes, Angelica (Angel in English). GOD sent an angel to comfort and be with me. Her mother was the one who came in to give me coffee.  I shared this with them, and they rejoiced in the Lord.  Angelica’s mom hugged me and praised God for me and told me this was a divine meeting! God wanted me to be strong and believe in His power! Remember…I had Covid, and this woman was hugging me! God is Awesome!
The story doesn’t end there! Stay with me! This was such a wonderful experience that the Director of Medicine was advised of the testimony and shared this story with staff members! My faith increased so much because God was using this awful illness that kept me down for almost 4 weeks to be used for His Glory! God told me that I was to donate prayer cloths to those who were going to that treatment center.  It was approved and I donated 300 prayer cloths there. The report from the Director when picking up the second donation (200 cloths) was the center “where I was located closed” because the phone stopped ringing and cases dropped drastically.  God worked a MIRACLE! The Director of Medicine said that the prayer cloths were received by the sick and even staffers and God blessed tremendously! This location not only closed then…even through the Omicron variant, that location did not re-open. God sealed that door!
The Bible is true and is still relevant today! If we are obedient and follow what God says, God will move!
My mom had faith that God will answer her prayer- Matthew 21:22 ESV And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”
I had to be reminded that in sickness and other trials that I was facing that God still wants me to rely on Him. Joshua 1:9 ESV Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
I believe that the anointed prayer cloths would be received, and God will use it as a connection between faith and works. I made those cloths; I gave those cloths in faith; I believed GOD would work a miracle! He did just that! You may ask, what is a prayer cloth. The cloth represents the hem of Jesus’ garment, the apron, and handkerchief used in such a powerful way during the days in the Bible! When the prayer cloths are held while you are praying in faith, when you are sick or going through a trial, your faith is strengthened. I believe that God will divinely show up in your situation just like in the scriptures. Faith moves mountains and the Lord sees your faith.
Acts 19:12 ESV So that even handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched his skin were carried away to the sick, and their diseases left them, and the evil spirits came out of them.
Matthew 9:20-22 NIV Then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. 21 She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.” Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment.
God and the Word of God is still relevant today. We must read God’s word. Take time to learn of Him. He wants us all to live our best lives and with Him is the Best! I pray that this will encourage you, increase your faith, and touch your heart to accept and live for Jesus! In these times that foster and cultivate such despair and chaos, confusion, and destruction, know that God knows and cares. Even when you feel anxious or unsure, know that God will not leave you alone. I had to be reminded. God healed my body! Storms of life are real, heartache is real, loss is real, sickness is real, JESUS is real and so is the Word of God! He will never forsake you! Be encouraged, live for Jesus and you will live a victorious life!
